Shall consist of clean 18-8 type stainless steel clips and solids containing max.7% nickel, 16% chrome, and have a max. of .50% molybednum, .50% copper, 0.045% phosphorous and .03% sulfer and otherwise free of harmful contaminants. Particularly concerning physical description, grading, addtional analysis and preparation to be agreed upon between buyer and supplier.
Stainless Steel 430 Scrap Shall consist of clean chrome bearing stainless steel clips and solids containing 10% to 16% chrome and other tramp elements 0.50% max each and otherwise free of harmful contaminants. Particulars concerning physical description, grading, additional analysis, and preparation to be agreed upon between buyer and seller.
An austenitic stainless steel with 2.0 to 3% Mo. which improves corrosion. resistance and imparts hot strength characteristics. Used for applications requiring resistance to pitting corrosion. and in halogen atmospheres. Typical applications : architectural trims, marine exteriors, chemical processing equipment, food processing equipment, petroleum refining equipment, pharmaceutical equipment, photographic equipment, pulp and paper processing equipment, textile finishing equipment, etc.
